Administrative
and Support Services of MPL encompasses Contracts and Grants, Accounting,
Personnel, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, Travel, Computer Support,
Facilities and Shop, and Security Office.
CONTRACTS
AND GRANTS
Financial matters, contract and grant
administration, funding actions, and overall functions of
proposal processing and maintenance of record databases are
handled through the Contracts and Grants and Accounting Offices.
PERSONNEL
All aspects of recruitment, employment
and separations, new employee orientation, compensation/classification,
and employee relations at MPL are handled through the MPL
Human Resources.
PURCHASING/SHIPPING
& RECEIVING
MPL provides support for procurement
for all supplies and equipment for fabrications and technical
support. All support is provided for the preparation, packing
and monitoring of outgoing domestic and foreign shipments,
as well as hazmat and customs clearance, inventory coordination,
and the delivery of incoming shipments.
TRAVEL
Any travel arrangements including computing
and the preparation of reimbursement vouchers and expense
accounts is handled by the travel office.
FACILITIES
AND SHOP
MPL maintaines a well-equipped and
state-of-the-art construction, electronics shop where full
fabrication and repair of equipment takes place at our Point
Loma location.
COMPUTER
SUPPORT
Full technical support in MPL computer
operations through our help desk for any computer platform.
Help in establishing computer accounts, virus protection,
email, and hardware and software problems are provided.
SECURITY OFFICE
Administration of classified documents, processing of clearance
requests, and visitor and badge requests is handled by our
security office on-site at the Point
Loma location.
