Interactive Exhibit on Whale Sounds Receives National Recognition

John Hildebrand, Professor of Oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography/MPL, participated in the development of an interactive exhibit at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific entitled "Whales: Voices in the Sea." The exhibit allowed visitors to hear a variety of whale calls from different species. Sponsored by the PacificLife Foundation and developed in cooperation with the Aquarium, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Ocean Alliance, and Cortina Productions, this exhibit was awarded the 2005 Silver Muse Award by the American Association of Museums.
