Robert Pinkel wins election to 3-year term on the UNOLS Council

Robert Pinkel, Professor of Oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography/MPL, has won election to a 3-year term on the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS) Council as a Member - At Large. Dr. Pinkel was selected, along with five other members, from a broad pool of qualified members to replace expiring positions that needed to be filled. The UNOLS Council serves a leadership position within this advisory organization dedicated to the coordinated use of federally supported oceanographic facilities within the community of academic oceanographic institutions that use and operate those facilities.
